The craft has at least one cavity under a lower deck (2), closed off at the two side walls (9) and at bow and stern by a skirt, which when in use, extends to the water surface. It is connected to a compressed air supply device to create a small excess pressure in it, and to a propulsion drive to drive the craft. There is a common drive machine for the compressed air supply and for the propulsion drive.
