Molded electromagnetic shielding housings

An apparatus and method for molding electromagnetic shielding housings is disclosed. The molding apparatus (12) includes a core portion (14), a cavity portion (16) and an injection opening (17). Positioning means is provided to retain a conductive flexible metal grid material (26) on the surface of either the core or the cavity portion. Upon injection of moldable plastic through the injection opening (17), the resultant molded shielding housing has the conductive metal grid material molded integrally with the plastic molding.
