<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reducing the generation of dioxine in the exhaust gas containing hydrogen chloride from a garbage incinerator to the utmost by blowing a powdery alkaline substance into the incinerator in order to reduce dioxine crowding the columns of a newspaper or reported noisily on a television today as news generated from a garbage incinerator of dioxine harmful and virulently poisonous to a human body. SOLUTION: The generation of dioxine is reduced by blowing a synthetic absorbent based on powdery calcium carbonate, calcium hydroxide, quick lime, dolomite, fly ash, sodium carbonate or a mixture of them into acidic exhaust gas with a temp. of 900 deg.C or higher containing hydrogen chloride generated from an incinerator.</p> |
