PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce protective coating for machine parts having improved wear resistance and furthermore applicable by a simple operating method and to provide a method for producing it. SOLUTION: Strain-allowable ceramic coating is composed so as to be used as wear resistant coating for a supporter. This coating is produced by yttria and zirconia powder having <=40 micron average particle size. The coating is formed by depositing the powder on a supporter by a plasma spraying method. The coating as-adhered by the operation substantially does not contain macrocracks, but, the coating applied with poststress contains oriented microcracks and macrocracks of random distribution and population. |
