<p>PURPOSE:To remove the org. matter, etc., deposited on a honeycomb rotor by supplying the hot air kept at the temp. between the decomposition temp. of the org. matter, etc., deposited on the rotor and the maximum temp. at which the adsorbent element of the rotor is not thermally deteriorated. CONSTITUTION:A cleaning zone (c) is provided between the dehumidifying zone (a) and regenerating zone (b) of the honeycomb rotor 1, and a hot air supply member 30 and a cold air supply member 31 are furnished in the zone (c). When the rotor 1, on which the org. matter, etc., such as a plasticizer contained in a gas to be dehumidified and decomposed, is rotated and passed through the zone (c), the hot air kept at an optional temp. higher than the decomposition temp. of the org. matter, etc., deposited on the rotor 1 and lower than the maximum temp. at which the adsorbent element 2 of the rotor 1 is not thermally deteriorated is supplied from the hot air supply member 30 at an appropriate surface velocity. After the org. matter, etc., are decomposed and removed, the rotor 1 is cooled by the cold air from the cold air supply member 31.</p> |
