Miniaturized electronic device has an unit for regular measurement of a temperature proportional value. There is another unit for conversion of the value into a temperature by multiplication with a coefficient and a unit for storage of such temperature measurements. Further improvements include an unit for calculating a cumulative value representative of the temperatures experienced up to the present and for communicating it to a remote device. Other additional data may be read into the device such as batch number date of fabrication, etc.
