There are provided window set-up means for setting up a window smaller than a high-resolution screen, window moving means for moving the window set-up by the window set-up means by such a distance that the window overlaps with the adjacent window, image cut-out means for cutting out the image in the region demarcated by the set-up window each time the set-up window is moved, and screen generating means for subjecting the cut-out image to motion picture processing to generate a large screen. By generating a pseudo motion picture, a high-resolution motion screen having a wide region which can be handled substantially as a still picture and a region frequently varying can be processed as a motion picture.
