The invention relates to a method or a device for preparing a fibrous material (F) for a fiber sorting device (13, 14, 15, 30). Known devices do not satisfy the requirements for carrying out a specific fiber selection process since all of the fibers of the introduced fibrous material could not be specifically detected during the selection process. The aim of the invention is to provide a method or a device for preparing the fibrous material (F) for a fiber sorting device, whereby an improved fiber selection is made possible. To this end, the fibrous material (F) to be processed is prepared in individual, essentially adjacent, and when viewed in a conveying direction of the fibrous material (F), longitudinally aligned fibers (FA). In addition, the fibers aligned in such a manner are guided in the position thereof to a subsequent sorting device (13, 14, 15, 30). |
