The thrust bearing has a toothed first gear which is meshed with a second gear. In operation, an axial force is exerted on the first gear and at least one end of the gear shaft is attached to the gear housing via a pretensioned spring support. There is a end stop on the housing side which has a radial gap to the axis of the gear shaft. This gap is smaller than the gap between the attachment plate and the axis of the gear shaft. At least one end sop rises against the axial load direction of the gear shaft such that a preset pitch of spring is available during engaging of the end stop and the spring. The flat spring may be used as the flexion spring.
