To make a container crane lightweight and shorten a cargo handling time. A central relay trolley (60) among three trolleys travelling on girders (31, 32) is provided with a cradle (61), on which containers from respective hoisting accessories (42, 46) on trolleys (41, 45) on both sides are placed. The trolley (60) suspends the cradle (61) with a length of rope (62). Landing is performed by suspending a container by means of the trolley (45) and placing the same on the cradle (61). The container on the cradle (61) is lifted by the trolley (41) and lowered on a land side. A level of the cradle (61) is based on a minimum level where the trolley (45) can travel with the container suspended. As cargo unloading proceeds, a level of the cradle (61) gradually lowers. When loading is performed, the level of the cradle (61) gradually rises. An auxiliary girder (37), on which the trolley (60) travels, is disposed on a land side of a junction of a tension bar (28) and the girder (32).
