Electronic circuit for maintaining electrical equipment ready using a capacitor

The circuit stores the energy required for switch-on in a capacitor (1) during standby mode. The capacitor is charged up again after switch-on and acts as a storage device after switch-off, which isolates the equipment from the mains (6). Switch-on and off are caused by a signal from a contactless remote controller (7) reaching a receiver (2) which controls the switching processes. An Independent claim is also included for an arrangement for carrying out the method.
