<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the efficient manufacturing of a fire resistant rubber molding by a method wherein a fire resistant composition having a specified compounding ratio is prepared by feeding a rubbery substance, a phosphor compound, an inorganic filler is fed from the upstream part to and a heat expandable graphite is fed from the middle to an extruder equipped with a main screw and planetary screws. SOLUTION: To 100 pts.wt. of a rubbery substance, 20-200 pts.wt. of the sum of a phosphor compound and a heat expandable graphite and 50-500 pts.wt. of an inorganic filler are prepared. The ratio of the heat expandable graphite to the phosphor compound is 9:1-1:10. In a planetary gear extruder 2, a screw 26 is divided into a single spindle zone 21, a main screw 23 and a three divided type planetary gear zone 22 consisting of planetary screws 24. To the single spindle zone 1, a rubbery substance is fed from a screw feeder 11, an inorganic filler and a phosphor compound is fed from screw feeders 12. From a side feeder 14, a heat expandable graphite is fed to a third zone 22c so as to be uniformly distributed in a kneaded matter. The heat expandable graphite is refrained from distructing, resulting in obtaining a homogenized kneaded matter.</p> |
