PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for shrink proofing of a cellulosic fiber- containing structure by which excellent shrink resistance having durability can be imparted to the cellulosic fiber-containing structure without using a resin finishing agent such as a cellulose reactive type resin. SOLUTION: A cellulosic fiber-containing structure is treated with liquid ammonia and then treated with steam at 98-150 deg.C temperature thereof. Excellent shrink resistance having durability can be imparted to the cellulosic fiber- containing structure without carrying out resin finishing. The resultant cellulosic fiber-containing structure extremely scarcely causes shrinkage, hardening, etc., of touch feeling due to repetitive washing. |
