PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital portable telephone set, such that a storage capacity of a storage device provided to a voice recording and reproducing device can be sufficiently small. SOLUTION: This digital portable telephone set is provided with a voice recording and reproducing device. For the digital portable telephone set, a linear codec 1 encodes an analog voice signal, a compression processing section 21 applies compression processing to the coded voice signal, a radio section 3 transmits the compression-processed voice signal and also receives a compression-processed voice signal sent from other telephone set, an error correction section 41 detects an error in the received and compression-processed voice signal and corrects the detected error, an expansion processing section 43 applies expansion processing to the expansion-processed voice signal and the linear codec 1 converts the expansion-processed voice signal into an analog voice signal. A recording/reproducing memory 11 records a compression- processed voice signal sent selectively and the error-corrected compression- processed voice signal under the control of a recording/reproducing controller 5. |
