PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the easy addition of fine silica particles to a thermoplastic resin and the favorable dispersion properties of the particles by a method wherein the fine silica particles, the surface of each of which is treated with a silicon- containing organic matter having a hydrophilic functional group, are dispersingly included. SOLUTION: As long as fine surface-treated silica particles concern, there is no specific limit in their particle diameters, their manufacturing methods, their shapes or the like. However, when an amorphous silica, which is manufactured by a wet method and the surface of which has a large number of silanol groups, is employed, the effect of the addition of the silica particles becomes much larger. The loadings of the fine silica particles to the thermoplastic resin is preferably 0.01-10 wt.% (of the thermoplastic resin), more preferably 0.01-5 wt.%. If this amount exceeds 10 wt.%, no enough dispersion properties are obtained. Further, if shearing stress is increased for spurring this dispersion, the particles are broken, resulting in lowering the particle size. On the other hand, if the loadings are below 0.01 wt.%, the effect of the addition of the particle is not fully revealed. |
