A converter for telephone communication through Internet, comprising: a telephone lines plug, a keyboard input, a RS232 interface, a digital voice converting circuit, a program controlled circuit. It further comprises a voice processor, a voice amplification circuit, a storage unit, an electronic switch, a modem interface and a ringing sensor. When an existing telephone system of the users is connected to the Internet for telephone communication, the user only needs to make a call to the converter, the converter controls another telephone line of the modem to connect the incoming signal to the Internet through the RS232 interface; at the same time, an identical converter in the other side is also connected to the Internet through a line of a modem, whereby the user can talk with the other party over the Internet conveniently. |
