PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry on the recording of speech signals and also to quickly detect the abnormality of a signal processing circuit by synthesizing the analog speech and test signals together, converting these synthesized signals into the digital synthetic data to record them, separating the digital synthetic data to the recorded into the analog speech and test signals and checking the separated test signal. SOLUTION: A control part 9 controls a signal synthesizing part 3 to synthesize the analog speech signals of an input processing part 2 with the analog DTMF signals of a test signal output part 4 and outputs these synthesized signals to a buffer memory part 7 via an A/D converter 5 and a recording signal processing part 6. The part 7 outputs its temporarily stored data to a recording/reproducing part and also to a reproducing signal processing part 10. A signal separating part 12 separates the analog DTMF signals from the output of a D/A converter 11. A test signal check part 13 checks the failure of a signal processing circuit by means of the analog DTMF signals which are sent from the parts 4 and 12.
