PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable information terminal equipment which automatically starts a program fitted to the communication program of an originating source and effectively uses an incoming function. SOLUTION: When an incoming call arrives at the portable information terminal equipment 1 from an outer communication equipment, the communication program 9 corresponding to the telephone number of the originating source is automatically started in accordance with the content of a corresponding table 8 which is set by an operation environment and the intention of a carrying person and the effect is informed to the carrying person through a display means 2. Thus, the incoming function of the portable information equipment 1 can effectively be used.
