摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an element analysis value close to a theoretical value with a small quantity of sample in a short time with good reproducibility by compression molding an organic foam by a press and then subjecting to nitrogen analysis by a combustion method. SOLUTION: An organic foam is, e.g. a semi-rigid polyurethane foam, a hard polyurethane foam, etc. Pressing is required to form a space of only a gas in the organic foam by approximately 10 vol.% or smaller, preferably by approximately 1 vol.% or smaller. It is enough for a press to secure a compression area of, e.g. approximately 10 mm×10 mm. A hydraulic hand press or the like can be employed as the press. As a way to break cells of the foam, splicing is better than hitting by a hammer or grinding in a mortar or the like. For the element analysis, a combustion method is enyloyed.
