PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data recording method capable of preventing dot deterioration, of reducing the probability of a reading error and of printing/recording data of a high density or high capacity. SOLUTION: In this data recording method, data to be recorded are converted into dot image data to be optically read out and a dot pattern is printed and recorded on the printing face of a recording medium so that respective dots are arranged on respective squares of plural polygons adjacently arranged like a virtual matrix. The dot pattern includes isolated dot image data corresponding to isolated dots and connected dot image data corresponding to connected dots and constituted so as to form a non-contact state with respective sides of a polygon area formed by a square along prescribed directions. |
