PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a configuration with which the front and rear sides, upper and lower sides and right and left sides of a translucent complex can be easily discriminated. SOLUTION: Relating to a polarized light separating unit array 10 of a polarized light converting element 1, plural first and second translucent members 11 and 12 are mutually bonded through an adhesive layer 15. A colored member 16 is adhered to the first translucent member 11a located at one end in a direction parallel to the arrangement direction of the translucent members 11 and 12 between these translucent members 11 and 12. The front and rear sides, upper and lower sides and right and left sides of the polarized light separating array 10 can be easily discriminated by this colored member 16.
