PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide photographic sensitive material having high sensitivity and wide latitude and having excellent processing stability. SOLUTION: The silver halide photographic sensitive material having at least one layer of silver halide emulsion layers on a base is characterized in that the silver halide emulsion in the silver halide emulsion layers thereof is the silver halide emulsion consisting of tabular silver halide grains having an average aspect ratio of >=1.5, a sphere equiv. average grain size of >=0.2μm and the fluctuation coefft. of the sphere equiv. average grain size of <=30% and contains >=2 kinds of the tabular silver halide grains varying in at least the sphere equiv. average grain size and the distance between the twin crystal faces of the tabular silver halide grains is substantially constant.
