<p>A fugitive dust collection system (10) includes a dust collecting suction unit (12) which is connected to a hood (42) through a flexible hose (14). The hood (42) surrounds an unloader (18) for unloading bulk cargo of a dusty nature from the cargo hold of a ship or barge. The dust collection system (10) forms a vertical curtain of air which absorbs a dust cloud or airborne contaminants and transports them to the dust collecting suction unit (12) through the flexible conduit.</p> |
