A housing (I) for the storage of an airbag comprises a base body formed of a material composed of a thermoplastic elastomer composition (I) prepared by mixing 100 pts.wt. of a copolymer composition (II) with 0.05-0.5 pts.wt. of a lubricating agent consisting of a higher fatty acid amide and dynamic heat treatment of the mixture in the presence of an organic peroxide and crosslinking agent. A housing (I) for the storage of an airbag for an air bag restraint system comprises a base body formed of a material composed of a thermoplastic elastomer composition (I). (I) is prepared by mixing 100 pts.wt. of a copolymer composition (II) with 0.05-0.5 pts.wt. of a lubricating agent consisting of a higher fatty acid amide and dynamic heat treatment of the mixture in the presence of an organic peroxide and crosslinking agent. The copolymer (II) comprises: (A) 20-50 pts.wt. of an olefin-copolymer resin of propylene and upto two other 1-olefins, (B) 10-50 pts.wt of an ethylene-propylene copolymer rubber having a Mooney viscosity (ML1+4, 100 deg C) of 30-60 (C) 10-70 pts.wt. of a non-conjugated ethylene-propylene diene copolymer rubber having a Mooney viscosity (M1+4; 100 deg C) of 50-100 and (D) 10-50 pts.wt. of an oil containing ethylene-propylene non-conjugated diene copolymer rubber having a Mooney viscosity (M1+4, 100 deg C) of 150-350 and 50-150 pts.wt. mineral oil plasticizer (w.r.t. 100 pts.wt. ethylene-propylene non-conjugated diene copolymer).
