<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust tube for an automobile exhaust system, which can absorb a relative displacement between an engine side exhaust pipe and an muffler side exhaust pipe, and which is highly practical so as to satisfy all required functions such as small-sized and lightweight ability, and low cost, high displacement absorbing ability and high resistance. SOLUTION: A flexible tube for an automobile exhaust system is composed of bellows 3 for absorbing a relative displacement between a first exhaust pipe 1 and a second exhaust pipe, an outer cover surrounding the outer periphery of the bellows 3, and having one end fixed to one end part of the bellows 3, a support 7 connected to the other end part of the bellows 3, a conical coil spring 6 connected at their opposite ends between a free end part of the outer cover 5 and the support 7, an adapter 8 connected to the free end part of the outer cover 5, and an oscillation attenuating means 9 having ring-like magnets 9a, 9b which are spaced from each other by a predetermined distance while their same polarities are opposed to each other, and which are alternately fixed to the support 7 and the adapter 8.</p> |
