PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always supply hot water of a proper temperature to a user, improve hot water running efficiency, and prevent an overflow of hot water in a hot water tank. SOLUTION: This hot water storage type electric water heater has a hot water tank 2 to store hot water by heating water, a heating element 1 to heat water by being arranged under this hot water tank 2, a water supply pipe 8 to supply water to the hot water tank 2, a temperature sensor 5 to detect a hot water temperature in the hot water tank 2, a control device to properly adjust a water level and a hot water temperature in the hot water tank 2 and a water supply valve 6 to properly open/close a water supply passage to the hot water tank 2 from the water supply pipe 8 by a signal from this control device. The control device controls a water level while restraining the hot water temperature within a temperature change of the lower limit of a preset temperature by arranging water level sensors to detect a water level in the hot water tank 2 by one unit or plural units in a proper position in the hot water tank 2. |
