AGGLOMERATION OF RUBBER LATEX PARTICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for agglomerating rubber latex particles which prevents a generation of an agglomerate and its adhesion to an apparatus and enables increase in size of the apparatus. SOLUTION: When a rubber latex which is emulsified by a surfactant having a sodium or potassium salt of a carboxyl group as a hydrophilic group and has a number-average particle size of the rubber particles of less than 0.2μm is blended with an acidic substance to make the liquid latex acidic to agglomerate the rubber particles in the latex, the acidic substance is introduced directly into the latex liquid in a vessel through an insert tube 4 or a bottom portion of the vessel 6 to obtain a latex containing particles having a number-average particle size of 0.2-0.6μm.
