PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cancer metastasis inhibitor capable of inhibiting the metastasis of cancer cells, and to provide a collagenase activity inhibitor. SOLUTION: When the concentrations of specimen containing a hot water extract of Magnolia obovata bark are increased to 0.1, 1, 10, 100, 1,000 (μg/ml), the infiltration rates of HT-1080 cells are decreased. The cancer metastasis inhibitor and a collagenase activity inhibitor contain at least one of magnolol and honokiol as an active ingredient. |
