PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the antiadhesion property and water repellency of a surface by treating a plastic molded article, particularly a polycarbonate resin molded article with a hypochlorite soln. SOLUTION: As a plastic molded article for the treatment preferable is a thermoplastic resin. A polycarbonate resin, a polyester resin and a polyamide resin show a particularly high surface improvement effect. Sodium, potassium and calcium salts of hypochlorous acid are the examples of the hypochlorite. There is no limitation to the concn. of the hypochlorite. However, the lower the concn. is, the longer the necessary immersion time is. The effective chlorine concn. will be 0.1-12%, pref. 0.12-6%. The treating temp. is pref. 20-60 deg.C, further pref. 30-50 deg.C. If a plastic molded article treated with this hypochlorite soln. has lost its antiadhesion property by ethanol, sodium hydroxide, etc., it can be recovered by treating the article with an hypochlorite soln. again. This molded article is suitable to the biochemical field such as electrophoresis, centrifugal separation and chromatography. |
