摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep up the current speed in the setting speed by installing a speed reduction exceeded means, controlling the operation of speed reducing means for imparting speed reduction to a vehicle on the basis of an optimum fuel injection quantity calculated in a fuel injection quantity calculating means, and when the current speed has exceeded the setting speed, applying the vehicle with accurate braking. SOLUTION: A control program prerecorded in a built-in ROM is executed on the basis of operating contents of an auto-cruising main switch 19 and a speed setting switch 20 and detecting signals of a pressure sensor 13 and a speed sensor 16, whereby feed timing of a fuel injection pump 11, pressure in an accumulator chamber 12, and injection timing of a fuel injection system 14 are all controlled, and thus an exhaust braking device 17 and a power redarding device 18 are controlled. When an optimum fuel injection quantity comes to be less than the setting injection quantity, the exhaust braking device 17 operates. The effect of an engine brake is increased by an exhaust brake, and thus a vehicle is decelerated by braking force by the increased engine brake.
