PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disc cutter of tunnel excavating machine, in which a large bending moment will not act on a cutting blade part and the pressing force by a cutter head acts chiefly in the radial direction of a supporting shaft body. SOLUTION: A disc cutter 1 is installed in the peripheral corner part 3a of a cutter head 3 mounted rotatably in the front part of the body of an excavating machine. On a cutter head 3 a supporting shaft body 18 is supported on a cantilever system through a carrier 13 in such a way that the forefront nearer the periphery is positioned in the rear with an angle of 30 deg. relative to the front surface, and a disc body 22 having a ring-shaped cutter blade 21 is installed rotatably at the forefront of the supporting shaft 18. |
