PURPOSE:To improve efficiency in discharge of mud by a method wherein cyclic use of muddy water is made available with both ends of two pipes provided respectively for supply and discharge of mud connected with a flange having an opening for insertion of a rotary rod, and the rotary rod borne with a support roller. CONSTITUTION:Earth and muddy water excavated with an excavating head 12 are mixed with agitating blades 13 and are delivered to a settling tank 28 as muddy water is made to circulate by operation of a mud supply pump 30 and a mud discharge pump 31 and at the same time, a rotary rod is rotated. A pipe 7 is thrusted into the earth being pressed, through a pipe socket 6, at its rear end with a driving device 3 that is advanced with a propulsion cylinder 5. Then the earth inside mud supply-and-discharge pipes 18 is discharged with pinch valves 20A and 20B provided to the mud supply-and-discharge pipes 18 closed and a pinch valve 22 in a bypass pipe 21 opened. A new mud supply-and- discharge pipe is added between the pipe 7 and the pipe socket 6. Thereby the mud discharge equipment can be simplified. |
