The outer brick (12), for building brickwork, has at least one hollow zone (24) between the lower and upper surfaces (16). The hollow zone (24) is offset from the center towards the outer surface (18), in relation to the center plane between the inner (20) and outer (18) surfaces of the brick (12). The hollow zone (24) is filled with an insulation (34) as flocks, fibers or granules, or as a holding zone for a heat-insulation material called HYPERDAMM or alternatively HYPERLITE-KD . With two hollow zones (24) near a brick outer surface (18), they both have the same clear rectangular cross-section. The outer brick (12) is a flat brick of Liapor , lime sandstone or foam concrete.
