Hydrodynamic torque converter with overlapping blade wall arrangement

A hydrodynamic torque converter has a circuit incorporating an impeller wheel, a turbine wheel and a guide wheel. Both the turbine wheel and impeller have walls which link the individual blades, and forming an inner torus with the other wheel, each wall overlapping the other. The wall (16,25) overlap, in the direction of flow, incorporates an extension (30) to the other bladed wheel (13,22), radially separated by a gap (28) to a predetermined axial length (36).
