Foot-operated gear shift lever for shifting gear on motorbike

A foot-operated gear shift lever for shifting gear on a motorbike is described. The shift lever has a lever arm which has a selector shaft mounting at one end and a pedal at the other end. At least the lever arm and the pedal are made of plastic. The selector shaft mounting is made out of plastic and has an inlay part of metal, especially aluminum, surrounding the selector shaft of the gearbox. The lever arm, selector shaft mounting and pedal are made as a one-piece molding. The inlay part is a sleeve which is extrusion-coated by the selector shaft mounting.
