摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recovering a hydrocarbon from a waste gas containing the gaseous hydrocarbon in order to regulate the concentration of the gaseous hydrocarbon in the waste gas to <=20 ppm, discharge the regulated waste gas into the atmosphere and safely, readily and efficiently recover the hydrocarbon in a liquid state from the waste gas. SOLUTION: This method for recovering a hydrocarbon comprises using (1) adsorbent beds and double cylinder type adsorption columns 1a and 1b for cooling the beds as an adsorption apparatus, (2) filling active carbon and a Y type synthetic zeolite in the adsorption columns 1 and 1b, (3) alternately carrying out the adsorption and desorption and operating a valve (A) for automatically changing over the adsorption and desorption according to the designation of breakthrough expected concentration of the adsorbent beds by a data logger at a changeover time at that time, (4) sucking the gaseous hydrocarbon adsorbed on the adsorbent beds by using a purge gas in combination with a vacuum pump (VP) at the time of desorption, (5) cooling the purge waste gas to about normal temperatures, liquefying and condensing the hydrocarbon and returning the total amount of the purge waste gas containing the uncondensed hydrocarbon at that time to the adsorption columns 1a and 1b and (6) bringing the liquefied hydrocarbon into countercurrent contact with the purge waste gas again and absorbing a hardly condensable component in the purge waste gas into the liquid.</p>
