CONSTITUTION:Cells of the genuses Euglena and/or Spirulina, existing in rivers, ponds, lakes, marshes, etc., and proliferative in a large amount by utilizing culture vessels, lakes, marshes, ponds, etc., on an industrial scale, because culture and proliferation can be carried out in a normal culture medium according to an ordinary method, are separated from the culture medium by a normal method such as filtration or centrifugation, washed with water, as necessary, dried with hot air or freeze-dried and natural jasminic acid is then extracted by an ordinary method to readily afford natural jasminic acid, expressed by the formula and useful as cosmetics or foods, etc., because the aroma is extremely close to that of jasmine. |
