<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of a worst state due to an inoperative meter by providing minimum information as required for safety such as speed information of a vehicle to a driver even at the time of failure of a communication line. SOLUTION: It is checked whether or not ignition switch information is included in multiple data by a CPU circuit 5. When the ignition switch information is not included in the multiple data, or when it is included in the multiple data, but it does not coincides with the contents of ignition switch on/ off data outputted from an input and output circuit 3, it is decided that the multiple data is abnormal to stop the use of the multiple data and use information directly inputted to the CPU circuit 5. Then, minimum display data required for driving a vehicle is formed and represented on a display.</p> |
