PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image forming apparatus which simplifies control of a discharge direction of liquid drops, and formation of liquid drops. SOLUTION: A transfer material 5 is held at a transfer material feed path 4 above a liquid drop discharging apparatus 1. Liquid drops 5a of the transfer material which is a transparent liquid are discharged by a transfer material discharge nozzle 2. Color material feed nozzles 3a, 3b supplying respectively color inks are set at a discharge route. A predetermined color material feed nozzle is driven on the basis of print data thereby supplying the ink 6a, 6b of a quantity according to a density to form a meniscus. The discharged transfer material is combined with the ink by a liquid crosslinking force, whereby the ink is separated from the color material feed nozzle and moved with the transfer material as the same liquid drops. After the movement, the liquid drops adhere to a recording paper 8, when the transfer material and ink are mixed uniformly because of an impact force at the time. |
