<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing method for an ink jet printer in which banding phenomenon is prevented while enhancing the quality. SOLUTION: A printing method for an ink jet printer comprises a first step (S11) for detecting a nonprint area (upper margin) set in the printable area of a matter to be printed, a second step (S12) for selecting one or more than one print line from a plurality of print lines depending on the nonprint area detected in the first step and executing printing by a print line other than the one or more than one selected print line, and a third step (S13) for adjusting the width of the one or more than one selected print lane by controlling the feeding amount of the matter to be printed. According to the method, relative positional relationship can be kept constant between an ink jet printer and the matter to be printed when printing is finished.</p> |
