PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming apparatus for representing the gradation of an image using a halftone screen structure and transferring/tixing the image to a recording medium using an intermediate transfer material arranged with multiple protrusjons substantially uniformly in which deterioration of the image quality due to moire fringes caused by the arrangement of the halftone screen structure and the protrusions is suppressed. SOLUTION: At least one of the distribution of protrusions 51 or the halftone reproduction screen 1.5 adjusted such that the interval of moire fringes generated by the protrusions and the toner image of a color having highest brightness is not the longest one or the shortest one of moire fringes generated by the protrusions and the toner images of other colors. Alternatively, at least one of the distribution of protrusions or the halftone reproduction screen is adjusted such that the interval of moire fringes will be shorter than 0.5 mm. |
