PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely execute inversion of milled rice and to maintain the water spraying amt. and water spraying pressure suitable for uniform water spraying and progression of rice washing by providing the inside wall surface of a washing cylinder with an agitating member in nearly the same direction as the major axis direction of the washing cylinder. SOLUTION: This washing cylinder 2 is provided with the agitating member 7 along this inside wall surface to increase the rising movement of milled rice by rotation of the washing cylinder 2. The milled rice moving high along the inside wall surface of the washing cylinder 2 falls onto the bottom of the washing cylinder 2 while the milled rice is surely inverted. The polishing effect by the collision of the uniform milled rice with each other is acted by repetition of such movement of the milled rice, by which the bran components, etc. sticking to the milled rice surface may be removed and therefore, the execution of the uniform washing and rinsing is made possible. While a plurality of the agitating members 7 may be disposed on the inside wall surface of the washing cylinder 2, the single agitating member may be disposed thereon in the case of the milled rice not requiring a strong inversion effect. The sectional shape thereof may be triangular or square and may be composed of a curve free of angles. The agitating member may be spirally disposed on the inside wall surface of the washing cylinder 2 along the same. |
