PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily and quickly detecting a useful new antimicrobial agent. SOLUTION: A substance inhibiting a ribosome recycling factor(RRF) is screened by applying a candidate for an inhibitor of RRF to a host cell transformed by a plasmid which contains a reporter gene on the downstream side of the terminal codon and observing the expression of the reporter gene.
