PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the extent of distributability to each inlet pipe of intake air taken into a chamber from an air cleaner by having a connecting part to the chamber in partial inlet pipes out of these inlet pipes and another connecting part to the chamber in the rest inlet pipes both shifted up and down, respectively. SOLUTION: A inlet manifold 10 in a 4-cylindered internal combustion engine 1 is comprised of a chamber 12 equipped with a throttle body 11 on one end face and four metal inlet pipes 15 to 18, but in this time, four connecting parts 20 to 23 installed in the other end face of the chamber 12 are arranged almost in a square looking from the longitudinal direction of these inlet pipes 15 to 18, whereby partial cylinders out of these inlet pipes 15 to 18, for example, these two connecting parts 20 and 23 being concerned to the first and the fourth cylinders to be situated at the outside, and the rest cylinders, for example, these connecting parts 21 and 22 being concerned to both the second and third cylinders to be situated at the inside are shifted up and down, respectively. With this, the extent of distributability to these inlet pipes 15 to 18 of the intake air taken into the car from an air cleaner is sharply improved.
|
