PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel supply device of an internal combustion engine which can accelerate a rise of temperature of fuel to be supplied easily. SOLUTION: A return passage 7 in the downstream of a high pressure regulator 8 is connected to a fuel passage 2 in the upstream of an engine direct acting high pressure pump 4 by a communicating passage 10, and a bypass solenoid for raising fuel temperature is interposed in this communicating passage 10. Moreover, a temperature sensor 12 detecting a temperature of fuel to be supplied to a fuel injection valve 6 is arranged in the vicinity of a delivery pipe 5. A control device 13 which opens, closes, and controls the bypass solenoid in the communicating passage 10 in accordance with outputs of the temperature sensor 12 is provided. The control device 13 opens the bypass solenoid to make the communicating passage 10 active in order to accelerate a rise of temperature of fuel to be supplied so that a fuel line system is temporarily changed to a system which can utilize a heat generation source that an engine system has to the maximum extent. |
