PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric water-boiling device which costs low and exhibits satisfactory performance, and is excellent in safety having no danger of outflow of boiled water. SOLUTION: The device comprises a heating element 2 which heats a liquid in a container 1 storing the liquid, a control part 27 which controls the heating element 2, a spout 16 which is placed on a body 15 covering the container 1, a lid body 20, on the spout 16, which covers a container opening, a lock claw 32 which is provided on the lid body 20 and slides in a horizontal direction, a claw engagement part 33 which is provided on the spout 16 and with which the lock claw 32 engages, and a contact sensor 34 which is provided on the claw engagement part 33 and detects the contact of the lock claw 32. |
