FIELD: aircraft antenna assemblies. SUBSTANCE: antenna assembly ensuring operation with radio signals in frequency-modulated very-high-frequency band, microwave frequency band, and amplitude-modulated very-high- frequency band has its antenna mounted in end section of fin so that long nonconducting slot is formed between one edge of antenna proper and abutting conducting structure of aircraft. Slot is uniform in its certain length and flares out in its remaining length. Excitation point along slot is chosen for optimal operating characteristics. Matching electronic devices join assembly with transceiver which is capable of operation in VHF/FM, microwave, or VHF/AM band.
