<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow adjustment for satisfactory fitting to the bestibule of the mouth of a user and to always ensure easy-to-use conditions by providing a thickness adjustment means at the outer edge part of a denture to be fitted to the vestibule of the mouth and enabling the adjustment of the thickness of the outer edge part. SOLUTION: At an outer edge part 11 of the denture, the side of molars 26, namely, only a rear side outer edge part 11 is provided with the thickness control means, at least the outer surface side of the outer edge part 11 is controlled to be expanded outside while utilizing the pressure of a fluid or mechanical power. Concerning the thickness control means, an air-tight hollow part 9 is provided inside the outer edge part 11, the outer surface side of the outer edge part 11 is formed from a flexible synthetic resin film softer than hard resins for denture, and a fluid injection port 4 communicated to the hollow part 9 is attached on the outer surface side. When the fluid such as air is sent through the injection port part 4 to the hollow part 9 and pressurized., the synthetic resin around the hollow part 9 is expanded, the outer edge part 11 is expanded outside by increasing its thickness and when one part of air is released, this part is reduced to decrease thickness.</p> |
