PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic transmission fluid(ATF) bypass device which makes possible the ATF at an adequate temperature rapidly, by making the ATF passing through an oil cooler constantly, to pass through the oil cooler or not to pass through the oil cooler selectively, according the temperature condition. SOLUTION: This bypass device of ATF is composed of a valve housing H set between an automatic transmission and an oil cooler; a valve spool SP set movable in the longitudinal direction inside the valve housing H; a thermal expansion rod 61 which is inserted to a hole formed at one end of the valve spool SP, has a large thermal expansion coefficient, and moves the valve spool SP by the expansion and contraction by the temperature variation; and an elastic spring 62 which is positioned at a space formed between the other end of the valve spool SP, and the wall surface of the valve housing H, and energizes the valve spool SP. |
