The surface is made of laminar material. It comprises a primary layer containing several parallel slits (11), a secondary layer which backs onto the continuous section of the primary layer, and a decorative tertiary layer (14) on the secondary layer. The primary (10) and secondary (13) layers are made of a plastics with the same or similar chemical composition. The primary layer plastics is hard while the secondary layer plastics is soft. Use - The arrangement is used as a surface, e.g. for decorative purposes. Advantage - Elasticity and rigidity are maintained whilst being recyclable.
